The International Festival of the Sea 2005 is an integral part of the
Royal Navy's Trafalgar bicentenary celebrations - Trafalgar 200. As
such the Festival of the Sea is linked to the other Trafalgar 200 events
taking place in Portsmouth and the Solent at the end of June 2005,
namely the International Fleet Review (28 June), the Son et Lumière
(28 June) and the International Drumhead Ceremony (29 June).
Thus there is an opportunity to link commercial opportunities across
all these events, and also to the other events taking place around
21 October 2005.
The 2005 International Festival of the Sea is a unique, high profile
celebration of Britain's maritime life, past, present and future and
offers outstanding opportunities for close corporate involvement.
As event organisers, we believe that active and creative relationships
with sponsors produce the best results. Specific interests and
objectives can be identified and achieved through meticulous
pre-event planning guaranteeing that this wonderful occasion and its
spacious site are utilised to full advantage.
IFOS consistently attracts over 250,000 attendees including service
personnel, guests, pass-holders, performers, entertainers and crews
from the festival fleet. This combined with a proven ability to generate
both national and world-wide TV and Press coverage, ensures that the
2005 International Festival of the Sea will be an outstanding, unique
and dynamic platform, ensuring high visibility return for sponsorship
investment.
In addition, Principal Sponsors also benefit from pre-event
prominence in all Festival publicity in the months leading up to
the event.
Corporate hospitality both ashore and afloat adds a truly exceptional
dimension to IFOS. One option is to take visitors on daily trips from
the heart of the Festival out into the Solent aboard a wide range of vessels.
